I’m planning my race calendar, and I’ve picked the Subic Bay International Triathlon as my first triathlon of the year.
Challenge Vietnam is a must-do destination race: well-organized with an athlete-centric atmosphere, set in beautiful Nha Trang.
It’s Challenge Vietnam race week!
Last week was a bit of a blur as I battled jet lag, catching up on work, and making sure all systems are go for next week’s trip to Nha Trang for Challenge Vietnam.
In looking forward to my upcoming trip to Vietnam, I look back at the news that I missed mentioning… and the food that I explored on my past trip.
A little break from routine was just what I needed to decide on racing priorities moving forward.
The past week was about going to Ironman 70.3 Philippines and discovering my love for endurance sport whether competing or supporting, and a reminder that long-term enjoyment of the sport depends upon staying healthy.
With five weeks to go until Challenge Vietnam and having missed the past two weeks of training, it’s tempting to try cramming as much as possible to get back up to speed.
My prime motivator for everything I do is a drive to excel. It’s great when you want to turn out quality work, but isn’t so smart when you’re trying to regain fitness. Ilang beses na yang “too much, too soon”.
