I’m back! So much to catch up on not just in training but also for work. I’ve got weeks of racing coming up and am so excited that the new Endure Multisport team kit has arrived. Check it out:
It was nice to exercise creativity in designing the kit, but I also have to give credit to Rapide Custom Wear for turning design into reality. I’m super excited to wear this to the Bintan Triathlon in three weeks’ time, and then to Challenge Vietnam.
The last two weeks have been absolute sh** due to stress from the national elections, so I decided to give myself a blogging break last week. It certainly felt hard writing about running and training when the direction this country would take for the next six years hung in the balance. But after casting my vote, crying about the loss of my presidential candidate, and watching with bated breath the results of the vice-presidential race, I think I’ve managed to shake it off.
It’s safe to say Filipinos love our country despite our differing opinions on who should run it. The plurality has chosen, so I must abide by that. It is a democratic system, after all. God bless the Philippines. π
This week I’m back to wearing my own colors and busying myself preparing for the Nike Women’s Half Marathon, where I’m supposed to tack on a few more kilometers to reach my peak mileage before the Phuket Marathon. Say hello if you see me. Let’s talk running. Surely we’ll have that in common. π
