Let’s try this racing thing again! I’ve just signed up for the next edition of the Atleta Ako Aquathlon powered by Dolfin happening on August 28, 2022 at the Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub in Imus, Cavite.
This year is Atleta Ako Aquathlon‘s return after the pandemic put all mass participation events on hold, and it has a new spin on things: aside from the in-person event, there is also a virtual category so you can join in wherever you are in the world. This brings together the two kinds of experiences I’ve had racing an Atleta Ako event: the in-person ones, and the virtual ones!
There are now male, female, and relay (all-women, all-men, mixed) categories, and with these distances you can conquer an aquathlon at any fitness level!
Atleta Ako Aquathlon Distances
- 7-8 years old – 100 meters swim/1 kilometer run
- 9-10 years old – 200 meters swim/1 kilometer run
- 11-12 years old – 300 meters swim/2.5 kilometers run
- 13-14 years old – 400 meters swim/2.5 kilometers run
- 15-17 years old – 500 meters swim/5 kilometers run
- 18 years old–above – 500 meters swim/5k run
- Virtual (no age category) – 500 meters swim/5km run
- Relay (all female, all male, mixed) – 500 meters swim/5km run

How to Register
Registration is now open until August 15, 2022 or until slots last, but don’t wait until the last minute to sign up: after July 19, the fees will increase.
- Individual $64 ($59 until July 19)
- Relay $115 ($110 until July 19)
- Virtual $35 ($30 until July 19)

If you can get together a group of 11, the Atleta Ako Aquathlon offers a 10+ registration promo for the individual categories.
10+1 Registration Promo (Individual Categories):
- E-mail to info@atletaraces.com should include the ff:
- List of ten (10) of your online registered teammates/ group
- Full name, e-mail and distance your 11th member is joining
- Once verified, a registration code will be sent for the 11th member
- 11th member may use that code to register online for free
Registration and Refund Policies:
- Registration fees are non-transferable.
- If you are unable to participate, you will not receive a refund for your race entry fee, but you may claim your race give aways.
- Refund Policy:
- Athletes confirmed in the race who wish to withdraw must do so in writing. Please send email to info@atletaraces.com
- It is the athlete’s responsibility to ensure the race office has received any communication. Upon confirmation of this request, athletes are eligible for a partial refund as follows:
- Any requests received on or before July 31, 2022 will be eligible for an 80% refund.
- Any requests received on or before August 5, 2022 will be eligible for a 50% refund.
- Any requests received after August 5, 2022 will not be eligible for a refund under any circumstances
