I began racing at a time when P500 was considered expensive for a 10K, but those who started before me can remember when P250 was already considered high-end with giveaway finisher shirts. Races priced like that are hard to come by these days, which is what makes the Nutrilite Health Run stand out.
With race dates in Manila (October 15 at SM Mall of Asia) and Davao (October 29 at SM Ecoland Davao), the Nutrilite Health Run is on its fifth year of providing a venue of runners for all abilities to celebrate fitness and physical achievement without breaking the bank. Distances 1K, 5K, and 10K are priced at P250 while the 21K is priced at P850.
Here’s what you get when you register: a race shirt, race bib, and loot bag. If you’re registered for the 21K, you’ll also get a timing chip for use during the race, and a finisher’s shirt and medal after you cross the finish line.
If that isn’t incentive enough to register, all Nutrilite Health Run participants are also invited to join free running clinics leading up to the race. Manila clinics are scheduled every Monday and Wednesday conducted by Coach Rio de la Cruz at the Ayala Triangle; Davao clinics start on September 5 every Tuesday and Thursday at People’s Park.
Train well, and train hard: top finishers of the 10K and 21K will win a cash prize of P10,000 and P20,000 respectively.
The Nutrilite Health Run will donate a portion of the registration fee to the Amway One By One Campaign for Children, which has partnered with the Department of Education to “adopt” schools and build them libraries. (Read more about the Amway One By One Campaign for Children here.)
