Hey folks! Nothing super special about this Fitness Diary entry apart from the fact it’s been 13 weeks since this year started. The final week of the Takbo.PH Women’s Stride Virtual Run also commences this Holy Week and I’ve got to make sure I finish running the goal of 50 kilometers overall so I qualify for the medal and finisher’s singlet. (I’ve now got only two kilometers to go, LOL.)
I’ve run all this month using the new adidas UltraBOOST X and the Fitbit Ionic, which means I should be shooting my final wrap-up review about those two this week. I love how having this blog has let me try so many products that have now become near-indispensable in my fitness journey.
The virtual run and the product testing have really helped keep me exercising this month, when I would otherwise want to lie back and vegetate. But I’ve been living on the edge the past two weeks cramming mileage in with longer run sessions. Today after running 10 kilometers, I am feeling like I’ve fallen off the edge again. I am going to rest up and do a lot of yoga and softer workouts to make sure I don’t get sick again and lose all the gains I’ve fought so hard to make.
I mean, when fantastic training facilities open up near the city and they give me a membership card, it would be a shame not to be able to use it, right? That’s how I felt when I attended the launch of Vermosa Sports Hub the other week. Check this video out:
The cycling tracks aren’t complete yet, but when they are, Vermosa may be the perfect place for a weekend of training.
Now if only my body would let me do that much exercise…
