It’s finally summer, and every year people work really hard to achieve a beach body so they can wear swimsuits at the beach with confidence. But of course, almost every year the Century Tuna Superbods competition showcases some of the best athletic beach bods in the quest to name the ultimate male and female Superbod. Also, in the past three years Century Tuna has been hosting a casual Underpants Run at the Ironman 70.3 Subic Bay, showcasing bods honed and shaped by triathlon.
This year, the Century Tuna Underpants Run comes to Manila on April 8 at Filinvest Alabang, taking the experience to the next level. With 3K, 5K, and 10K categories all available at the flat registration rate of P600, the only requirement to run here is to meet the dress code: underpants!
(Actually, it just means bottoms must be 8 inches above the knee or higher. Men shirtless, women in bra tops.)
Register for the Century Tuna Underpants Run online here or in-store at GNC (Alabang Town Center, Glorietta, SM Megamall, SM Aura, SM Mall of Asia, Trinoma). Entry fee is P600 inclusive of race bib, timing chip, finisherβs medal, finisherβs bath towel, and loot bag.
Awards will be given for best underpants for female, male, and groups. Runners will compete in the Superbods category for 18-37 year olds, or the Superbods Ageless category for 38-50 year olds. The top three male and female finishers in the Superbods and Superbods Ageless categories will receive cash prizes and gift packs.
These age categories at the Underpants Run mirror the Century Tuna Superbods Ageless 2018 competition, which for the first time has opened entry to participants aged 38 to 50 years old in the Ageless category. I got to see all 40 finalists two weeks ago at the VIP night. Check the video out below and get to know them. Guess who my favorites are?
Century Tuna sure has a full slate for the first half of the year. After the Superbods events, the real biggie is coming up on June 3: the Century Tuna Ironman Philippines at Subic Bay. You know what’s funny? I have barely heard a peep from those registered for the first branded full Ironman event in the country. Where are you guys at? I hope you’re training. π
Join tayo? ?
I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly ?
