Sign Up for the 2022 Atleta Ako Virtual Challenge

Registration for the 2022 Atleta Ako Virtual Challenge has been extended to the end of February, so that’s one less excuse for you not to sign up πŸ™‚ The Atleta Ako Virtual Challenge runs from February 14 until April 24.

Whether you’re a fitness newbie or a seasoned athlete, there’s a category and event for you! This year, men are eligible for prizes as well, unlike previous years where they could participate but not win. Anyone around the world can join (but race schedules will follow Philippine Time).

The Atleta Ako Virtual Challenges

There are three main challenges: Atleta Sweat, Atleta Steel, and Atleta Fire. A challenge can only be accomplished by accumulating the distance of the chosen event within the race duration. As a multi-month event, you can do multiple workouts at your own pace and schedule to log a cumulative total distance to complete the challenge.

Atleta Sweat: 50km and 100km

(Cycling and rowing will not be counted in this event.) Participants must complete the distance through non-machine workouts such as:

  • Running
  • Swimming
  • Walking
  • Yoga
  • Golf
  • Jump rope
  • Dancing
  • Rock climbing
  • Weightlifting
  • Pilates
  • HIIT
  • Scuba Diving

Atleta Steel: 150km and 300km

Participants must complete the distance by doing at least 2 or more events from the following:

  • Running
  • Swimming
  • Cycling (indoor or outdoor)
  • Rowing
  • Walking
  • Yoga
  • Golf
  • Jump rope
  • Dancing
  • Rock climbing
  • Weightlifting
  • Pilates
  • HIIT
  • Scuba Diving

Atleta Fire: 1000+ kilometers

Participants must complete the distance by doing at least 3 or more events from the following:

  • Running
  • Swimming
  • Cycling (indoor or outdoor)
  • Rowing
  • Walking
  • Yoga
  • Golf
  • Jump rope
  • Dancing
  • Rock climbing
  • Weightlifting
  • Pilates
  • HIIT
  • Scuba Diving

Fastest 5 km Run Split

Race Mechanics: The highlight of the end of the Virtual Race is a 5 km Run all participants can take part in. The run must be completed either on April 9 and 10, 2022.  Data should be uploaded by April 10 at 11:59 PM. The winner will be announced on April 14, 2022.

Longest Single Bike Ride

Race Mechanics: The male and female participants with the longest single bike ride earns this award.  Data should be uploaded by April 24 at 11:59 PM.  Announcement of the winner will be on April 28, 2022

Farthest Swim Distance

Race Mechanics: The top male and female participants with the farthest accumulated swim distance wins this award.  Data should be uploaded by April 24 at 11:59 PM.  Announcement of the winner will be on April 28, 2022.

Non-Distance Based Workout Conversion Table

What devices can I use to track my workouts?

You may use your favorite workout-tracking applications (ex. Strava, Runkeeper), smartwatch (ex. Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, Polar, Timex), and Health Apps from your smartphones as long as they can accurately track your time and distance. Take a screenshot or a picture of the record and upload it to the Atleta Ako Virtual Challenge site to work towards completing your challenge!
