I wanted to pick up a pair of the JBL Under Armour wireless headphones (my old Yurbuds Leap wireless gave up the ghost after getting absolutely drenched in last Friday’s rainstorm), so I dropped by Rapha’s Gear on the ground floor of the new Glorietta wing in Ayala Center Makati.
A multi-brand kiosk carrying sports tech gear, Rapha’s Gear is the brainchild of Maiqui and Gianina Dayrit of Cascos, Inc.
“We’re usually at the race expos,” Maiqui said when I asked him about Rapha’s Gear. “We decided to make our brands available to athletes all the time so they don’t have to wait for good deals.”
Rapha’s Gear carries the following brands: Salice eyewear, JBL audio, Garmin, Leef iBridge mobile memory devices, Tune Belt, Kool ‘n’ Fit, and Zensah compression.
JBL (read my brand feature here)
Tune Belt (see my review here)
Leef iBridge, for backing up your iPhone
Kool ‘n’ Fit sport performance spray
Zensah compression (see my review here)
With the branches already open in Glorietta and Alabang Town Center and another two opening later this year, Rapha’s Gear is set to bring my favorite sports tech brands closer to fellow athletes. And since Cascos is the distributor for these brands, I can be sure their store personnel know the products inside out. They’ll also be able to provide great aftermarket service, especially for the Yurbuds with their one-year warranty.
And yep, I got the goods:
