How to Get Your Maya FIFA Women’s World Cup Visa Card

I consider myself an early adopter of Maya (formerly Paymaya), largely using the e-wallet and payment platform for digital/online purchases. I used to have a physical Maya card (co-branded with National Geographic), but it expired and I didn’t feel the need to order a new one.

However, the advantage of having a physical Maya card is you can use it at establishments as a debit card, and at ATMs to withdraw money from the e-wallet. So when Maya released a limited edition commemorative FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 Visa card with a gloriously loud and pink design, I had to have it.

Watch my vlog below to find out how I ordered it, or scroll down for a written summary.

Ordering a physical Maya card is done from inside the Maya app. You can have any number of physical Maya cards active at any time alongside a virtual card (you just have to be mindful of expiry dates). I also customized my card with my Maya username for free, which gives it a nice personal touch.

The regular Maya card is priced at Php 150 plus shipping, but the FIFA Women’s World Cup Visa card is priced at a premium — Php 250.

Aside from the very pretty design which features Philippine national team goalkeeper and Team Visa athlete Ina Palacios, when you order your FIFA Visa card before June 15, 2023 you automatically get an entry to win a trip for two to New Zealand to watch the Philippine team play their first ever FIFA Women’s World Cup. Every Php 200 online or in-store purchase gets you another entry, so you can earn an unlimited number of raffle entries during the promo period. 25 Maya users will also win Visa FIFA premium merchandise.

(The trip for two is an all-expenses paid trip with round-trip airfare and 5 days, 4 nights accommodation plus two match tickets.)

The Maya FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 Visa card is available until supplies last, so don’t miss out. Open your Maya app and explore what it can do!
