Happy “1,000 Youtube Subscribers” New Year!

I’ve had my Youtube channel since 2013, but up until late 2017 I was using it just to upload short video clips to use as illustrations for my blog posts. That changed when I invested in a proper vlogging camera and started vlogging more regularly. But I never expected that I’d hit the first major milestone for any Youtuber during the year of the pandemic.

So yeah, I’m now at 1,000 subscribers on Youtube. Thanks to everyone who hit the Subscribe button, I now have the capability to make Community Posts. (Not sure what other capabilities come at this threshold!) I know that my numbers are pretty low especially compared to celebrities who only joined the platform last year but now have over 10,000 subscribers and thousands of views for every video. But I’m just happy to be creating things that people like watching and can learn from, especially the product reviews that were a surprising fixture throughout 2020.

I answered a short Q&A as well as discussed my New Year resolutions. It’s hard to dream big for sport when there’s so much uncertainty about personal movement as well as mass participation still being hit heavily due to pandemic restrictions. But if you’re interested, here’s my first vlog of 2021.
