Yakult 10-Miler Run on March 5

The Yakult 10-Miler returns again! This classic race has been around far longer than I’ve been a runner, and I’m so glad Yakult continues to hold it (almost) every year. They do this in line with the principle of Yakult’s founder Dr. Minoru Shirota, who believes that good health should be made available to all. They want to motivate people to be fit and healthy, and believe that running as one of the most democratic sports available is the perfect avenue to do so.

This year the Yakult 10-Miler Run is organized by Proactive Sports (yes, they of the Color Manila Run series) with distances of 3K, 5K, 10 Miles, and 21K starting and finishing at the CCP Complex on March 5, 2017. With an expected turnout of 3,000 runners, expect registration to sell out soon!

As a special service to the running community, there is a special category for Persons With Disabilities, and registration is free! There’s a separate gunstart as well.

All other categories include a drifit shirt, race bib with RFID, and a finisher’s medal. The 10-Mile and 21K category finishers will also receive a Yakult finisher’s pillow.

Registration is open online at proactive.ph. If you have a credit card or a Paypal account, you can register directly on the website. If you intend to use cash, you’ll need to purchase a prepaid card at the following partner stores: Mizuno (SM Mall of Asia), RUNNR (Bonifacio High Street, Alabang Town Center, Trinoma), and Toby’s Sports (Glorietta, Megamall).

Kit claiming will occur on March 2, 3, and 4. Further details will be emailed to participants.
