Pilipinas Trail Running Camps for Beginners

This weekend at BaseKamp (Pintong Bukawe, Rizal), the Pilipinas Trail Running Camp will hold the first in a series of three camps to introduce new runners to trail running and equip both new and veteran trail runners with the skills and knowledge to prepare for local and international races.

If you’ve ever wanted to take up trail running, you can learn from the best here! Runners will learn from and run with the trail champions and veterans together with sports experts and specialists. Its a five-month program which includes two stay-in weekends of training and a culminating intimate race. Of course, you can sign up for each camp individually.

CAMP 1: TRAIL RUN BASICS (FEBRUARY 25 – 26, 2017 @ BaseKamp)
REGISTRATION FEE: P2,500
Road to Trail; Gear Up; Getting the Right Form; Uphill and Downhill Running; Trail Etiquette

CAMP 2: TRAIL RUNNING-TRAINING AND RACING (MAY 06 – 07, 2017 @ BaseKamp)
REGISTRATION FEE: P2,500
Hydration and Nutrition; Injury Prevention; First Aid on the Run; Weather Management; Racing and Training Plan

CAMP 3: TRAIL RUN (JUNE 10, 2017 @ Venue TBA)
REGISTRATION FEE: P2,000
REGISTRATION WILL START ON APR 15, 2017

Fees are inclusive of event shirt, meals, and tent lodging.

Part of the Series’ proceeds will be used to support deserving local athletes in their international races. For 2017, RaceYaya has started to support Sandi Menchi and Manolito Divina. Sandi is competing in TDS, France in July while Manolito’s first international race is TransLantau Hong Kong.
