Adidas KOTR on October 24

I remember when I first ran the Adidas King of the Road. it was last year, I was quite new to road races and didn’t have many singlets to use when running. When Joel said that the KOTR singlet was always one of the best given out,Β  I immediately wanted to sign up.

For 2009, the singlet was a beautiful yellow that blazed neon when the sun hit it. (I remember almost sobbing in my car as I, almost 15 minutes late to gun start, was held up in traffic by a solid wall of yellow crossing the intersection.)

This year, Adidas searches for the King Of The Road on October 24 at the Fort Bonifacio Global City. The singlet is colored black, and registration is at a flat rate of P850 for 3K, 5K, 10K, and 21K. This time, even my family wants to sign up for that singlet, and I think my mom wants to do her first 10K here.

That registration fee not only covers the singlet (which I hope will still be manufactured by Adidas), but also a timing chip and timing band. No more making pilas the bib, yay! Sosi na rin ang Adidas.

Registration will take place at the following sites soon:

  • RUNNR Bonifacio High Street and Cebu
  • Adidas outlets Trinoma, Greenbelt, Rockwell, Ayala Center Cebu, Gateway, Glorietta, Shangri-la, Eastwood, Alabang Town Center, and Newport City.

For more information, visit the Adidas Philippines Facebook page or watch out for posters and flyers soon.

  1. Dati people join KOTR for the free addidas singlets…or at least their main reason for joining. I agree sana addidas yung singlets pero kung asics o mizuno ok lang din.

  2. wow! really? i can register for adidas kotr in cebu? cool! i’ll register, even just for the singlet, since i’m based in cebu πŸ™‚

  3. Ling, I really do recommend unning a race near your birthday. πŸ™‚

Lonerunner, I don’t think Adidas would turn over production of their singlets to competitors like Mizuno or Asics, LOL! What I meant was I hope they don’t do what New Balance did for Power Run 2009, which was outsource singlet manufacturing to a non-New Balance manufacturer.

Ken, last year I did Adidas just for the singlet. This year I think I’m just pacing my mom for her first 10K. πŸ™‚

  4. might even attend the adidas kotr on oct 24 πŸ™‚
