MBT Recovery Sandals Review & Giveaway

A few weeks ago I threw out my last pair of three-inch stiletto heels. No matter how much I tried to get myself accustomed to heels, at the end of the day the only thing I gain is pain. So I’ve committed to wearing only shoes that are comfortable as well as look good.

I’m growing my sneaker collection as well as stylish flats and sandals. The one thing I haven’t yet managed lately is finding slippers or sandals that give me enough support after I run long distances. Frequently I have to slide my tired feet into flipflops which are super flat, not to mention way too casual. I’m no longer a college student who can tool around in shorts and flipflops; I’d like people to take me a bit more seriously.

When SSI sent me a pair of their MBT recovery sandals to try out, I picked the Meru style because they were a simple silhouette that I could style with my preppy daily wear of casual cropped slacks and cotton shirts. They were comfortable, but I didn’t look like a slob!

What makes these MBT sandals different from others that look similar? Well, the MBT recovery sandal has a contoured footbed that cups the heel, gives support to the arch, and protects the toes. The footbed itself is made of a proprietary cushioning material with antimicrobial treatment, so your feet get a cushy ride and also stay fresh. The design promotes a soft heel landing and absorbs shock.

MBT prides itself on being the original physiological footwear brand, Swiss-engineered based on the study of biomechanics and natural stability. Recovery sandals are available for men and women. Here are a few photos of the different styles:

I have been living in my MBT sandals for the past two weeks and have worn them on heavy walking days. Unlike days wearing other footwear where I start to feel some pressure in my lower back the longer I stand, I’m pain-free when I wear my MBT’s.

And now you get a chance to own a pair of BTS sandals!

I’m giving away a pair of MBT recovery sandals. The mechanics of this giveaway are super simple:
