Festival of Fitness This August at Festival Mall

Southie fitness enthusiasts, rejoice! (As if you don’t have enough to be happy about, with the only Decathlon branch currently open in Filinvest, and Sabak Bike Shop relocated to Westgate…) If you’re looking to mix up your workouts this month, Festival Mall has just launched the Festival of Fitness all weekdays starting July 31 in partnership with fitness coaches Jim and Toni Saret of FitFil.

Love dancing and aerobics? Work on weight loss, muscle toning, balance and coordination, and endurance with Groove Fit every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Upper Ground Floor Expansion Hall.

Is interval training more your thing for fat burning, strength, endurance, and muscle definition? HIIT Fit will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the UGF Civic Drive between Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Starbucks Coffee.

Runners get their own Run Fit sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the UGF Exterior fronting Water Garden. These run sessions will focus on weight loss, endurance, and speed.

Coach Jim is co-founder (with wife Toni) of Milo-APEX Running School, Metabolic Fitness (MetaFit Philippines) Boot Camp, and the Fit Filipino (FitFil) Movement. The FitFil Movement, is a campaign developed to encourage Filipinos to join the movement and lose one million pounds collectively, within six months. They collaborated with medical, fitness, schools, health brands, LGUs, national agencies and other sectors to unite towards a healthier lifestyle and to create millions of fit Filipinos by 2020.

Coach Toni is a holistic nutrition specialist, and is co-head of the Elite Sports Performance Enhancement Program of the Philippine Olympic Committee and national teams. She is also certified for Metafit, Crossfit TRX, Blast FX, Fitness FX, Fight FX, Groove FX, and Zumba, among other programs.
