Seen & Noticed: Deuter, Myra VitaGlow, Vitress

Seen and Noticed is a monthly wrap-up of events and products around the metro.

Deuter Grand Opening

Outdoor equipment manufacturer and innovator Deuter has opened its flagship store in Metro Manila at the 2nd level Entertainment Mall, SM Mall of Asia. The Deuter store offers a wide range of packs for all sorts of activities: from carrying children’s books and necessities for school all the way up to several days’ worth of equipment for camping and trekking. It also offers accessories for all types of outdoor adventure: hiking, biking, trekking, mountain climbing, even skiing.

What impressed me was the backpack strap and AirComfort system, which redistributes the weight of a backpack from the shoulders down to the hips (which are more stable and can bear more weight) and reduces sweating by up to 25% because it keeps the pack off the contours of your back and allows air to circulate.

Myra VitaGlow BB Cream

As someone who is outdoors a lot I rely on proper skincare to minimize sun damage and to keep my skin tone even. (I am Kikay Runner, after all.) Thanks to Myra for the sample so I could try out their new VitaGlow BB Cream.

Myra Vitaglow BB Cream

testing, testing, one two three

Myra VitaGlow BB cream (“BB” stands for “Blemish Balm”) moisturizes and nourishes skin, conceals and encourages healing of blemishes, and doubles as makeup and sunscreen. I first tried this out before the Century Tuna 5150 presscon and I felt more polished and presentable than if I’d shown up with a bare face. I also have very sensitive skin, so because VitaGlow BB didn’t cause me to break out (it’s hypoallergenic) it gets a thumbs-up from me.

Myra VitaGlow BB Cream is available at leading drugstores and supermarkets nationwide.

Vitress Endorser Launch

My hair has been showing all the signs of stress from being out under the sun and in chlorinated pool water. Just when I’d resigned myself to having “beach hair” or “bed head” forever, Vitress launched its new Solenn Cuticle Coat alongside its new endorsers actress and model Solenn Heussaff, TV host and cover girl Kim Jones, and pro volleyball player Gretchen Ho.

Vitress is the country’s leading hair cuticle coat and hair polish (it’s what my hairdresser uses to pat down the stray baby hairs after styling and blowdrying my hair). A bunch of beauty, fashion, and sports bloggers including yours truly attended the launch and brought home samples of the entire Vitress line in a pretty makeup clutch designed by Solenn, as well as Hairagami hair styling clips and aids.

So far I’ve used the sun protect polish and the repair cuticle coat, and my hair has been feeling softer lately. Maybe these tresses can be tamed after all.
